Tamari Toasted Pumpkin Seeds


Need a quick and tasty boost? This snack is sure to please and it has the 3 key elements of a great, hearty, healthy snack - protein, fiber and good for you fat. Not only that, these seeds are pack a powerful nutrition punch as they are loaded with magnesium and manganese to copper, protein and zinc!

Yield: 4 servings or lots of great garnish!


  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 2 Tbsp. tamari or wheat free soy sauce


Toss seeds with tamari until all seeds coated. (For ease, leave in produce bag from store, and pour in Tamari –shake ‘til coated) Spread seeds on parchment lined baking sheet. Place in oven at 400 degrees and toast for 5 - 7 minutes until brown. Check half-way and toss as these will cook quickly and can burn easily. They should look dried and toasty and will start making popping sound when ready!

Store the seeds in an air-tight container in dark, cool pantry or the fridge for up to one month.
